Licensed Contractor
Serving Roswell, Georgia and Greater Atlanta
Level One Construction Co. is a registered Residental/General Contractor licensed through the State of Georgia (verify License# RBCO004021). The state requires anyone performing 3 different trade services on a project over $2500 to be licensed. We have met the mandatory educational expectations, exam requirements, and additional documentation such as general liability insurance. We passed the required Business & Law exam as well as the construction exam as part of the licensing process. Our license is renewed every 2 years with continuing education requirements.
Licensing is not the same as a business license purchased through a local jurisdiction (although that is required as well). We encourage you to verify our Residential/General Contractor license on the State of Georgia’s website.
You can rest assured working with Level One Construction Co. knowing we are a Licensed Contractor with a $2 million insurance policy.
Years Established
Meet the Team
Brian Spix
Owner, NARI Certified Remodeler
Brian’s focus on a project is the initial project assessment, estimating, and business management. His attention to detail in existing structures helps “see” most situations that may arise affecting the project’s outcome.
Brian is the founder of Level One Construction Co. with 39 years of contracting experience. The knowledge of building structures and what is required to change them was gained from his time as a framing contractor and project superintendent for commercial and residential projects. He received his Certified Remodeler certificate from NARI in 1993.
Thom Painter
Owner, Project Manager
Thom brings 32 years of experience to the company. He started as a carpenter with us in 1991 and quickly moved to lead carpenter, then master craftsman. Thom became a dedicated co-owner of Level One Construction Co. in 2000. Thom has managed projects in Atlanta, Georgia, in Portland, Oregon, and Baltimore, Maryland.
Brian stood above the competition in his expertise, trustworthiness, and integrity. Thom is the project manager and he is an amazing carpenter and meticulous craftsman. They take great pride in their workmanship and it shows beautifully.
The Choice is Simple
Unlike many other choices, we are personally involved in your project from beginning to end. Why? We “own” your project until it’s time to give it back.
We believe in long term relationships when it comes to partnering with material suppliers and highly-skilled tradespersons. Our family of knowledgeable professionals with likeminded goals deliver the best experience and performance available across all trades. You deserve the best.
The longevity of these relationships gives you the people who know that remodeling is different from new construction. They know our expectations and you can feel comfortable with our “extended family” of subcontractors
Full-service experience
There is no substitute for our experience and attention to detail.
Let’s Get You Answers
You likely have had many questions about your project. We are dedicated to providing full service that includes thorough communication. And we love questions.
Do I need to have a budget prepared before I contact you?
No, but you will need to have a budget and discuss it with our team. Make sure you prioritize your desires, as they will affect your budget.
Should I document my project?
Whether you do the research and planning yourself or with the assistance of a hired professional, have your project documented so that multiple bidders are all bidding on the same project details.
When are products selected?
You will need to make your product selections before construction begins. Be aware of product costs and availability as you consider your choices.
Are there additional costs I should consider?
Plan for unforeseen and additional costs so your project is successful. This could be new window treatments, furnishings, or accessories you didn’t consider. Unexposed damage or complications with existing structure may be unforeseen. Plan for the unexpected.
What does a “licensed contractor” mean?
Did you know any project that exceeds the amount of $2,500.00 with 3 different trade services requires the general contractor to be a licensed contractor?
This means the contractor is a registered Residential/General Contractor (through the State of Georgia in our case). Level One Construction Co. has met the mandatory education expectations, exam requirements, and additional documentation such as general liability insurance. We have also passed the required Business & Law exam and Construction exam.
How can I verify a Licensed Contractor?
You can visit the State of Georiga’s website at verify.sos.ga.gov to find us listed under Residential/General Contractor, Level One Construction, License# RBCO004021, and License# RBQA004063.
